Privacy Notice

The AI Saturday Academy is presented by Carlyle's Continuous Learning and operates as a program of Young Mastermind Initiative d/b/a Camping To Connect, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect from families and volunteers, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

What we collect

Only what's needed to run the program: student name and age, parent/guardian name and contact info, dietary and accessibility needs, volunteer contact info and role preference, and sponsor inquiry details. No academic records, no financial information, no device data beyond a browser fingerprint we use to guard against form spam.

Why we collect it

To operate the academy safely: reserve seats, honor allergies and accessibility needs, coordinate pickup, communicate with families, and complete legally required consent forms.

Who can see it

Only the program's core operations staff. Submitted form data is stored in a locked database that is not readable through the public website — it can only be accessed by authorized program administrators. We never sell family data. We never share it with sponsors, volunteers, or third parties for marketing.

Retention

Family data is deleted after the program cycle unless you opt in to hear about future cohorts. Volunteer records are retained for the length of your involvement with the program. Sponsor inquiries are retained for our nonprofit records.

Photography and media

Photography and video are strictly opt-in via a separate media release with the consent packet. Students without a signed release are never photographed or filmed.

Parent rights

You can request review, correction, or deletion of your family's data at any time by emailing jamiancpolk@gmail.com.

Children under 13

This site is directed at parents and guardians of teens ages 13–18. Students under 13 are not eligible for this cohort. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (COPPA posture). If we learn we have, we delete it.
